The cat of tortoise-why they call them like that?

A cat of turtle has what is called a brindled color, type of confusion of many different colors, not unlike the shell of a turtle. A real turtle has no white in colouring, although some people still may refer to any confusion colorful, striped cat as a turtle (tortie). That is not completely accurate, however.
What distinguishes a tortie (Tortoiseshell cat) of a cat tortoiseshell torbie or tabby is that true tortie has the color black as its main colour, we know, can get awfully confusing, at times, and the fact that torbies used to be called reverse torties makes it even more confusing.
If a cat has any white in colouring, even if they have a mix of all colors (black, Brown, tan, red, amber, chocolate, cinnamon, etc.) they are referred to as a cat Cheetah. Siamese often will have a lot of colors in their skins, especially on their backs or in its top and the white band is often on the belly, if you see a white belly on a cat, is certainly a Cheetah.
Now you can impress your friends with your knowledge to the minutiae of the cat world, if they are wrong, correct them and do it with a noble look on your face, you're right, they are wrong, loads of fun. We're just kidding of course, there is no set of rules of the cat world, these are only accepted the guidelines.
And this idea of guidelines extends to the personalities of the cats too. Many people believe that there are no hard and fast rules the personality and behavior that a cat will be like, but that is not necessarily always the case, there are a number of myths out there.
Certain types of cats have a reputation for being a certain personality wise way, but in each case, although individual personalities will vary from cat to cat. Cats are much as people in many ways, there are large traits of personalities, but every individual is unique. That's probably why we bond so well with our cats, they remind us of ourselves, in some respects.
In general the turtle cats are thought to be creatures very opinionated and a little distant, acting out their lives as if they were above all. They tend to be strong willed cats, unpredictable and independent, a true "cat cat", if you will. But, as mentioned at the beginning that this is just a broad orientation does not always hold true completely. All cats have their own inherent qualities.
